I fell into this trap so frequently in my 20s, is that when I would buy something new, I would get a little high, a little buzz from shopping, which I think a lot of us can probably relate to. And this buzz is short-lived, and in my case, led to just so much over-buying, so much consumerism, and I had things with the tags still on. I just had so much excess stuff. And since doing my little wishlist board method and being considerate and really carefully thinking about a purchase before I make it, it has had a huge and drastic effect on the amount of items that I buy.
